Otokomi Lake
Otokomi Lake – 10.4mi / 16.7km
Starting at Rising Sun, the trail up to the beautiful Otokomi Lake follows Rose Creek. The first few miles are through a recent burn with Rose Creek bubbling and cascading in little waterfalls and pools. The burn gives way to more views as you gain elevation, eventually breaking out into unrestricted views for the last several miles.
Otokomi Lake is tucked below Goat Mountain and surrounded by beautiful red rock. A waterfall cascades down the cliffs while large, cutthroat trout lazily swim beneath the water’s surface.
Trailhead: Park in the Rising Sun parking lot and walk to the north end to find the trailhead.
