This short, family-friendly trail is conveniently located by a picnic area and strolls along the shore of St. Mary Lake. Starting from the Rising Sun picnic area, this easy trail follows the shoreline with frequent access to the lake. You can skip rocks or admire the magnificent beauty of the mountains towering over the lake on the opposite shore.
After walking through aspens and over Rose Creek for 0.4 level miles, you’ll reach a boat launch where you can turn around and head back.
Trailhead: Trail begins at the Rising Sun picnic area.
