Wraith Falls

Wraith Falls – 0.8mi / 1.3km

The short, easy hike to Wraith Falls passes through meadows to an overlook of the waterfall. The wildflowers are abundant along this trail in the early summer. The waterfall is more of a rippling cascade fanned out over a solid slab of rock, and is one of Yellowstone’s least impressive falls.

Trailhead: The signed trailhead is located east of Lava Creek on the Grand Loop Road, between Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower-Roosevelt.

Elevation Gain: 100ft / 30m – Elevation Loss: 100ft / 30m
