Mt Brown Lookout Speed 2014

Mt. Brown Lookout

Had a window of time and weather to quickly head up to Mt. Brown Lookout on June 16th, 2014. I knew the weather was changing for a few days and it was going to start that afternoon. I picked up my running pack, went super light and headed up the almost 5.5 miles and 4,200 vertical feet to the top.

The wildflowers were great, the sun was nice and the trail, for the first 2/3 or so was clear of snow with little downfall. From there, the snow was scattered, then cleared up until the last couple of switchbacks where it went to almost solid snow. The clouds really started to consolidate as I headed down and I made it to the trailhead just as it started raining.

(note: since I was going light, I only had my iPhone with me, so the photos and video are a little less quality than normal, but not bad considering)
